Adriano Manocchia’s Interview With Joe Donohue at WAMC Public Radio
I wanted to share with you a little bit of news that has more to do with fishing the Battenkill than with my artwork.
Recently I and my fishing buddy Richard Norman were invited by Ted Bernt, owner of Battenkill Guide Service ( http://www.battenkillguides.com ), a trout fishing guiding service located in Cambridge, NY to join him on an interview with Joe Donahue host of WAMC Public Radio’s The Roundtable, an award-winning, nationally recognized eclectic talk program. The show airs from 9-11am each weekday and features news, interviews, in-depth discussion, listener call-ins, music, and more. This episode was aired on 4/18/2011
While Ted explained the intricacies of the guiding service, Rich Norman, who for many years was a fly fishing guide and a commercial fly tyer (not to mention a talented model for my paintings…), explained the technical aspects of fly-tying. The hardest question Mr. Donohue posed to me was at the end of the interview when he asked what I’d do when faced with the choice of shooting photos for a painting, or fishing. If you want to take a guess and then find out the answer, you just need to click on the following link where you can hear the interview in its entirety. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
