From Adriano Manocchia’s Studio: New Paintings for a New Year.

Welcome to 2013!! My wish for you is that this year will bring you happiness, success, and especially good health.

I thought of starting this new year by offering two new paintings that are a little different in subject matter, especially “Farmer’s Market”. Since you do need to eat between fishing trips, you might as well enjoy the food experience and feed your eyes with the beauty of nature before feeding your stomach. The wares displayed in stalls at a farmers market are often interesting studies in shapes and colors. The texture and hues of these onions came alive when the sun found its way to the baskets.

In “Brookie Pool” the swirls and waterfalls of a fast moving stream became the subject of my painting. I’m always attracted by small pools both as an angler and as an artist. While anxious to cast my line, I always need to take a moment to observe these intimate waterscapes portraits.

Both “Brookie Pool” and “Farmer’s Market” measure 11″x14″. They are both oils on panel and framed in a gold frame. Please refer to the pricing under each painting which include framing but not shipping.
