From Adriano Manocchia’s Studio: Wishes of A Peaceful Moment

With the Holiday Season already in full swing, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of you a peaceful moment in which to savour what you most enjoy. I find my moment of peacefulness remembering the times spent on a stream surrounded by the beauty of nature.I’d like to share two of those moments with you which I have portrayed in my most recent pantings. The inspiration for “Deer Crossing” came from the now familiar pattern of crossing deer tracks on the otherwise untouched snow cover, often the only visible sign of unexpected visitors.

When I saw the  waterfall in “Streamers & Wet Flies” I could just see the angler determined to reach the depth of the hole below. When I started composing it I knew that a streamer or wet fly would be perfect to entice the largest trout down below to take the fly…”Deer Crossing” and “Streamers & Wet Flies” both measure 11″x14″.  They are both oils on panel and framed in custom made gold frames as shown in the photos.
