From Adriano Manocchia Studio: Spring is in the Air…
Spring is taking its time getting here this year but you can still feel it in the air. Birds are busy building their nests, daffodils are daring enough to stick their bright crowns out regardless of the still too low temperatures, woodchucks practice their raids into our future vegetable garden, pesky creatures that they are…
Of course, Spring also means the start of a new fishing season, which has to be a great thing, right? I must be getting old as the appeal of opening day is not as strong for me any longer. I was swapping stories very recently with a fishing buddy and legendary fly-tyer and we both agreed that standing with our teeth chattering on the banks of a still semi-frozen stream is not our idea of fun anymore. So I’m waiting anxiously for those warmer days when I can actually enjoy the whole angling experience and not suffer through it… In the meantime, I’m happy enough at my easel creating paintings that will make me yearn for those days on the water.
I’ve also been very busy working on some major projects with Ron Dodson, President of ISC-Audubon, the organization that, as you already know, has recently nominated me Official Conservation Artist. I’m excited to announce that one of these projects Celebrating Family Farms is already well underway and the official statement and announcement recently released on the ISC-Audubon blog. The two paintings I’m featuring this time, are a celebration of warmer days to come communing with nature at its best. The first painting is titled Summer Morning and portrays one of my favorite subjects, a fisherman in an old-time canoe working the banks of a remote pond. This oil on panel measures 11″x14″ and comes framed in a custom made gold frame.
The second painting is also a celebration of water, an intimate view of the mysteries hiding in its transparent depths. It is also an oil on panel titled “” and measuring 9″x12″. This painting also comes in a custom made gold frame.
As customary these paintings will remain available to my special clients on a first come basis. Both paintings can also be viewed at www.adriano-art.com/?availableart along with other available art.
